We are not only showcasing eco-friendly businesses, but offering so much more to all our guests. We want to prove how easy it can be to organize a truly green wedding.
1. Our eco-friendly wedding reception will include a hand-picked selection of green businesses and artisans who will offer you a different choice for all your wedding decisions.
We support local businesses and artisans. Keep it local and keep it green!
2. You will witness green design themes that range from DIY rustic wedding ideas to elegant and sophisticated elements.
All of the products and services showcased have ties to alternative and eco-friendly wedding ideas.
3. We are also promoting alternative transportation. This will include a bike valet for your visit.
Enter to win a special prize draw just for attending The Grassroots Wedding Fair if you came by foot, by bike or public transit.
4. We will also be managing all of our waste responsibly with a full recycling station which will include compostables.
We will use only bio-degradable garbage bags and earth friendly soaps in our clean up.
5. All of our actions, our decisions, will be audited and our footprint calculated to enable us to improve on our event for years to come.
We will also offset our carbon footprint to bring our event to carbon neutral. We are committed to ensuring our event be as eco-friendly as it can.
6. Each year we will choose an environmental organization to donate a percentage of our proceeds to.
