Tired of not finding wedding fairs that promote businesses that try to tread lightly upon the earth, Shona Dion, of sweet earth photographics, decided to gather green and local businesses together to showcase how easy it is to host a eco-friendly wedding.
Shona is a great supporter of the local community and found that eco-friendly businesses and artisans are often hard to find all year round. She wanted to create a Vancouver based resource centre for eco-friendly wedding businesses and artisans to showcase their products and services.

Green Chair is ensuring that The Grassroots Wedding Fair is responsible in handling all necessary carbon offsets to make this event carbon neutral. Green Chair will provide a footprint calculator for the event so that improvement can be made for the next Wedding Fair.
Green Chair will also manage a bike valet and handle all waste to ensure that all items are disposed of responsibly from recycling to composting.
